rain and the plantation

this rainy afternoon i saw a frog inside 1 of the greenhouses we were examining, and slipped away from my mom and the female caretaker to follow the frog about. i wasn't straying far from the plantation and felt secure under my umbrella, but people still went out looking for me, your aceychan already being this old.

so in the car, i went, always being the easy niece and the obedient cousin, still thinking about the frog. if there are 2 things i learned about myself on the drive back, it's that i easily get distracted and that despite how i just realized i enjoy it, i secretly fear that the next time i wander about aimlessly, i'll no longer be found.
